New Student Recovery Dashboard monitors progress toward student learning recovery

4/24/2023

The Ohio Department of Education published a new dashboard on the Future Forward Ohio webpage. The Student Recovery Dashboard is designed to provide a better understanding of Ohio’s students’ recovery from the impact of the pandemic.

The Student Recovery Dashboard displays publicly available data in an accessible format that enables users to easily benchmark student performance trends before the pandemic and beyond. The introductory page of the dashboard captures key indicators such as enrollment, graduation, K-3 on-track diagnostic trends, chronic absenteeism and proficiency scores. Tiles on the left of the dashboard enable users to take a deeper look at other contextual information, including Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund spending rate, Kindergarten Readiness Assessment data and early literacy. The dashboard allows for a statewide view, as well as the ability to sort by public district. A similar dashboard for community schools is in development.

The Student Recovery Dashboard illustrates many of the same trends documented in Data Insights reports.
