Course introduces the Simple View of Reading

Literacy Academy on Demand offers courses for educators in grades K-12 that are tailored to enhance language and literacy instruction skills. The courses consist of concise and informative videos presented by expert literacy instructors, accompanied by valuable resources, reflection questions and articles.

The Department’s 45-minute course on the Simple View of Reading is designed to help participants understand the Simple View of Reading and its significance for reading instruction. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to reflect on current approaches to reading instruction. Participants can download course companions to jot down notes and answer reflection prompts, making the most of the learning experience.
