OPES 2.0 learning available on the Learning Management System

The Department invites educators who would like an overview of the recently implemented evaluation system for administrators, OPES 2.0, to enroll in the Ohio Principals’ Evaluation System 2.0 (OPES 2.0) course on the Learning Management System (LMS). The self-paced course consists of 10 modules that cover the processes and procedures of an administrator's evaluation.

Some of the topics addressed include:

• Roles of an administrator;
• OPES 2.0 Framework;
• Professional growth plan and improvement plans;
• Understanding the OPES 2.0 rubric; and
• High-quality student data for administrators.

Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate granting four contact hours that they can use for license renewal, pending Local Professional Development Committee approval.
