Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA) Test Administration
The OELPA test administration window closes March 24 and the additional order window in TIDE closes March 22. Manuals for administering and scoring both online and paper tests are available in the Resources section of the test portal and must be reviewed prior to administering the test.
Annual OELPA User Survey
The OELPA User Survey is available on the
test portal. Educators are invited to respond to the brief survey about their user experiences with the assessment. The purpose of the survey is to collect feedback for program and system improvements. The survey closes on
April 7, two weeks after the OELPA test window closes.
Alt-OELPA Administration, Registration and Resources
The test administration window closes on
March 31. Students must be preidentified in
TIDE to configure student settings (including any domain exemptions) before taking the Alt-OELPA. Please see the
Alt-OELPA Resources section of the test portal for available resources.
Alt-OELPA Test Administrator Directions and Scoring Rubrics Booklets
District test coordinators with students registered in TIDE for the Alt-OELPA should have received the
Alt-OELPA Test Administrator Directions and Scoring Rubrics Booklets in their
Secure Inbox. The booklets are secure materials and are needed for test administration as they contain item-specific scripts and scoring rubrics. To maintain test security, district test coordinators must distribute the booklets to test administrators via the TIDE Secure Inbox. The booklets
must not be sent via email or printed. More information about the booklets and scoring rubrics is available in the
Alt-OELPA Test Administration Manual. Districts should contact the Ohio Help Desk (877) 231-7809 if they have not received the booklets for the Alt-OELPA test administration.
