Readiness Assessments

The Readiness Assessments (RAs) – composed of Benchmark and Checkpoint tests – include updated content. All writing items on the RAs now use the instructions and writing rubrics introduced in Spring 2022 and are machine scored. Many checkpoints have new or revised test questions. The Spring 2021 released items have been moved to a new system. See the Assessment Authoring article for details on the new system and released items. 

Important Reminder: Districts and schools administer the RAs with the same systems used to administer other Ohio tests. When selecting tests to include in a session in the TA Interface, the optional RAs are color-coded red. The required, live OSTs are color-coded green. TAs must select the correct tests for a session to avoid potential test invalidations or breaches.
