Fall Grade 3 English Language Arts (ELA) Test

Fall grade 3 ELA testing ends Nov. 3. All scorable test booklets must have a Pre-ID label applied and returned to Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) no later than Nov. 6; nonscorable materials must be returned to DRC no later than Nov. 13. Additional information on paper testing, including distribution and return of the materials, as well as the “Directions and Script” for administering the paper test are available in the Fall 2023 OST Supplemental Instructions for Paper Testing manual.
 

Adult Tester Online Administration

The fall adult tester administration window closes Nov. 17. Refer to the Key Dates section for ELA II reporting information.

Fall High School End-of-Course (EOC) Tests

Fall high school EOC testing takes place Nov. 27, 2023-Jan. 12, 2024. Districts and schools must preidentify students who are planning to participate in testing using the Pre-ID File Layout for the 2023-2024 school year. Districts and schools must ensure all participating students have the appropriate subject mode field set to “O” for online or “P” for paper. All students, regardless of test mode, must be preidentified no later than Jan. 12, 2024.
 
Please be sure to review the Fall 2023 OST Test Administration Manual (TAM) to become familiar with policies and procedures. The Online Testing Highlights and Script found in Appendix L of the OST TAM must be used when administering OSTs online.
 
Districts that placed on-time orders in TIDE by Sept. 11 will have their materials delivered Nov. 20. The additional order window for paper test materials will be open Nov. 20, 2023 - Jan. 10, 2024. Additional information on paper testing, including the receipt, distribution and return of the materials, as well as the Directions and Script for Getting Started to be used when administering paper tests are available in the Fall 2023 OST Supplemental Instructions for Paper Testing manual.
 
District test coordinators who wish to receive printed score report labels must access the Score Reporting Labels Requests task in TIDE, select [Yes] and click [Save] by Jan. 12, 2024.
