Fall Grade 3 English Language Arts (ELA) Test

Fall grade 3 English language arts testing takes place Oct. 16-Nov. 3. Districts and schools must pre-identify students who are planning to participate in testing using the Pre-ID File Layout for the 2023-2024 school year. Districts and schools must ensure all participating students have the appropriate subject mode field set to “O” for online or “P” for paper. All students, regardless of test mode, must be preidentified no later than Nov. 3.
 
Districts that placed on-time orders in TIDE by Aug. 21 will have their materials delivered Oct. 2. Districts that missed the on-time order window and need to place an order or an additional order for paper test materials may access the “Paper Orders Grade 3 ELA Fall 2023” in TIDE Oct. 3-Nov. 1. District test coordinators that wish to receive printed score report labels must access the “Score Reporting Labels Requests” in TIDE, select [Yes] and click [Save] by Nov. 3.   
 
Please be sure to review the Fall 2023 OST Test Administration Manual to become familiar with policies and procedures. The “Online Testing Highlights and Script” found in Appendix L of the OST Test Administration Manual must be used when administering Ohio's State Tests online. Additional information on paper testing, including the receipt, distribution and return of the materials, as well as the “Paper Testing Highlights and Script” is available in the Fall 2023 OST Supplemental Instructions for Paper Testing.
 

Adult Tester Online Administration

The fall adult tester administration window is Oct. 23-Nov. 17. All testers must present a photo ID at the time of testing. Mathematics, science, and social studies results will be available in the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) immediately after testing. English language arts II test results will be available in the CRS on Dec.19. Additional information including policies, procedures, and the online testing script can be found in the 2023-2024 Adult Testers Test Administration Manual (ADT-TAM) available in the Resources section of the OST test portal. Test administrators must use the online testing script located in Appendix K of the ADT-TAM when administering tests.

Fall High School End-of-Course (EOC) Tests 

• The fall 2023 EOC test administration window is Nov. 27, 2023-Jan. 12, 2024.
• On-time materials ordered by Sept. 11 will be delivered on Nov. 20, 2023.
• The additional order window will be open in TIDE Nov. 20, 2023-Jan. 10, 2024.
