Test Security

To report a test security or other test incident, please contact Katie Hahn or the Office of Assessment. When asking questions or reporting possible test security issues, please do not send student names or any part of secure test questions. Refer to resources to maintain test security in the Ohio Test Security Provisions and Procedures located in the Resources section on the Testing webpage.

Solar Eclipse

Ohio will experience a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse April 8. Many parts of the state will be in total darkness for a few minutes during the midafternoon. Districts and schools should consider their assessment test schedule when finalizing plans for the day of the eclipse. If the district chooses not to test this day, the day will not be counted towards the 15 consecutive school day requirement. Please note that the state’s test windows cannot be extended and plan accordingly. For additional questions, please contact statetests@education.ohio.gov.
