Virtual session for district instructional leaders in using Ohio’s dyslexia course

School principals, instructional leaders and coaches interested in learning more about Ohio’s Introduction to Dyslexia K-3 course can join a virtual information session Sept. 13, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Hosted by Ohio Literacy Leads Michelle Elia and Carolyn Turner, this virtual session will:

  • Build understanding of reading science;
  • Provide information on how to access the Introduction to Dyslexia K-3 course K-3 in the Learning Management System;
  • Provide an overview of how a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) can meet the literacy instruction needs of all students, including students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties;
  • Provide guidance on how the Introduction to Dyslexia K-3 course may be best used in a district to meet the professional development requirement in Ohio’s Dyslexia Support Laws;
  • Provide additional resources to extend learning and support implementation of concepts presented in the Introduction to Dyslexia K-3 course.
