Summer Human Capital trainings for school leaders

The Department, in partnership with Battelle for Kids, is excited to offer several opportunities for human capital leaders this summer. After positive feedback from professionals across the state, meeting hosts are offering the following trainings again.

In “Human Capital Essentials for Principals,” principals will build capacity and develop strategies to use in their own districts. Participants will receive an e-badge and contact hours. While this training was designed for principals, all building and district leaders who oversee people would benefit from the training. Register for an in-person or virtual training Tuesday, June 7 at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West or Thursday, June 9  at the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio.

The Department encourages district teams to attend “Human Capital Workshop: Aligning and Assessing Your People Systems.” Well-aligned systems that prioritize finding, growing and supporting quality educators and create environments where employees thrive are better equipped to achieve their instructional vision. Attend this workshop and begin to create an understanding of how to build an effective human capital management system (HCMS). Register for an in-person session Monday, June 13 at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center.
