Career-Based Intervention (CBI) is a career-tech program for Grade 7-12, students who are ages 12-21 and identified as disadvantaged (academically, economically or both) and having barriers to achieving academic and career success.
In addition to an historical overview of the CBI program, this fact sheet offers awareness of increasing support provided to students and teachers of CBI.
The standards represent the minimum competencies for students participating in a CBI program. There is no established scope or sequence to the competencies and districts are encouraged to develop them based on local needs.
