PBIS Recognition and Showcase

Ohio’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Recognition System provides an opportunity to celebrate schools and districts. Each year, the Ohio Department of Education and the PBIS Network recognize schools and districts for their quality and fidelity of PBIS implementation. Schools are eligible to receive awards at the bronze, silver or gold levels of distinction. In 2022, a total of 375 schools and districts received recognition. Award recipients include 41 gold awards, 80 silver awards, 238 bronze awards and 16 district awards.

Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, the Department and PBIS Network committed to examining and refining PBIS Recognition System processes to enhance the award system across the state. The Department and PBIS Network made updates to the application process which include the addition of the Intent to Apply Form, updated scoring rubrics, Self-Assessment Survey (SAS) and a student outcome data component.
