2023-2024 Grade 3 Board Resolution Deadline May 1, 2023

Ohio Revised Code Section 3301.0711(G)(4) allows districts the option of paper or online test administration for the third-grade state assessments, OST and AASCD.

If a district or school is planning to administer one or more third-grade tests via paper test forms to students during the 2023-2024 school year, the district or school must complete the survey and submit the resolution approved by the district, school board or governing authority to support the district’s or school’s choices. A district or school can choose to administer all or some of the following third-grade tests via paper test forms: OST English Language Arts, OST Mathematics, AASCD English Language Arts and/or AASCD Mathematics. All data and PDF copies of board/governing authority resolutions must be submitted via the survey by May 1, 2023.

Districts and schools DO NOT need to complete the survey if the district or school:

  1. Does not test third grade students; and/or
  2. Plans to give only online tests to third grade students. Note: If a district or school plans to continue administering online tests to third-grade students, paper accommodations as accessibility features are still available as detailed in Ohio's Accessibility Manual. A board or governing authority resolution regarding accommodations is not required.

Superintendents or District Test Coordinators can complete the Grade 3 Paper Choice survey by clicking this webform link. Please note that a Google account is necessary to access this form. If there are questions about accessing or submitting the form, please contact Ohio Meetings at ohiomeetings@cambiumassessment.com
