Registration is Now Open for the 2023-2024 Assessment Conference

The Office of Assessment will host a virtual conference which includes preconference sessions on Sept. 12, followed by two other half days on Sept. 13-14. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day, the conference covers a variety of topics and updates on Ohio’s assessment programs. Sessions for new district test coordinators for both public and chartered nonpublic schools are scheduled. This conference is designed primarily for district test coordinators and other district administrators, but all are welcome to attend. Please register using this form. Additional information is on the test portal.

Test Security

Districts, community schools, and participating chartered nonpublic schools must establish a written test security plan no later than October 1 of each school year. The test security plan must include procedures on test security which include many areas that are listed in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) section 3301-13- 05 (H) and (I). Information on test security training and procedures can be found in the Test Security Provisions and Procedures and the Ohio Test Resource Book located in Resources section of the Testing page of the Department’s website. The test security plan must be presented to all staff who are involved with state tests. Districts must ensure that students are aware of test security requirements and associated consequences.

TIDE User Accounts

If districts or schools did not delete the 2022-2023 TIDE user accounts, district users will continue to have access this school year after resetting the password. Directions for resetting the password can be found in the TIDE User Guide. Click the “Request a new one for this school year” link on the TIDE login page to begin the process to be able to access TIDE for the 2023-2024 school year.  If staff do not have a user account or if the user’s email address has changed, contact the district or building test coordinator. When the test coordinator creates the new user account, Cambium Assessment will send an email with a link to establish the account. Users must click the link within the amount of time specified in the email to establish a password that meets the listed criteria and activate their accounts.
