2023-2024 Ohio Assessment Conference

MacOS 14 (Sonoma) Support
Cambium Assessment (CAI) has completed its review of macOS 14 (Sonoma), and this operating system will be supported beginning Nov. 6. Secure student testing on
macOS 14 devices requires the new Secure Browser version 16.5.
No action is needed for devices running macOS 11 or 12 that already have Secure Browser v 15.0 installed or macOS 13 that already have Secure Browser v 16.0 installed. Secure Browser v 16.0 will be replaced with v16.5 on the
Secure Browsers page of the test portal. All new installations to macOS 13 and 14 devices will use Secure Browser v 16.5. The
Technology Guide page of the test portal will also be updated with this support information.
Reporting Student Results for Ohio's State Tests to Families by June 30
Ohio law (Ohio Revised Code 3313.6029) requires districts, community schools, STEM schools, and chartered nonpublic schools to report the results of Ohio’s State Tests to students’ parents or guardians no later than June 30 of each year. Results may be either sent via mail, electronic mail, or by posting the scores to a secure portal on the district or school’s website that families can access. The Department will report spring 2024 test results in the Centralized Reporting System on the following dates:
- Mathematics, Science and Social Studies: May 14, 2024
- English Language Arts (online): May 20, 2024
- Grade 3 English Language Arts (paper): June 14, 2024
- All remaining paper results: June 24, 2024
Districts and schools should begin making arrangements to ensure these results are communicated to parents by the statutory deadline of June 30. Districts and schools have discretion in how test scores are reported to parents. Additional reporting information is available on the
