Assessment reminders for the 2022-2023 school year

8/18/2022

As another school year begins, the Department offers the following reminders related to assessments to ensure a successful 2022-2023 school year.

  • Educators with an Ohio assessment account must reset their passwords for the 2022-2023 school year. Users will not be able to access the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), Test Administrator (TA) Interface and Centralized Reporting System (CRS), including the Teacher Assessment Scoring Center (TASC) for the Ohio English Language Proficiency Screener (OELPS) until they reset their passwords.
  • Test coordinators should create new accounts or remove accounts as necessary to reflect any personnel changes.
  • Test security is an important part of ensuring valid and reliable student performance results. Ohio Administrative Code requires all schools and districts, by Oct. 1, to communicate in writing and discuss with all personnel who have access to secure test materials, as well as students taking tests, the applicable district test security policies. Details of test security provisions and procedures are on the Department website.
  • The Test Administrator Certification Course is available for all district and school personnel who will be administering Ohio assessments online. The Department strongly encourages new district and school personnel to complete the certification course in advance of testing and recommends returning test administrators use the course as a refresher.
