Seeking principal and teacher teams for Ohio Instructional Leadership Academy

7/11/2022

The Ohio Instructional Leadership Academy (OILA) is a K-12 program that uses blended learning strategies to provide building leadership teams with skills that will affect educator growth and student achievement. The program is founded on the components for leadership defined in the Ohio Standards for Teachers, the Ohio Standards for Principals, the Teacher Leader Model Standards and the Ohio Standards for Professional Development.

Each Ohio Instructional Leadership Academy team will consist of a building-level administrator and one teacher. Teams will attend three non-consecutive, full-day virtual institutes led by Dr. Anthony Muhammad. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their school’s culture. Participants also have the choice to engage in two online modules.

OILA is free of charge through a grant from the Department. The program is open for all to apply but designed for early-career principals and educators with at least three years’ experience.

Contact Nancy Abrams or visit this webpage to learn more about the program and complete the application. The OILA organizers fill participant spots on a first come, first served basis.
