Cleveland Fed offers Research Summer Camp for juniors and seniors

6/6/2022

The Cleveland Fed invites rising high school juniors and seniors interested in economics to a free, virtual Research Summer Camp July 11-15. During this weeklong program, students get hands-on, real-world experience with skills that economists use in their everyday work. Topics will include econometrics, RStudio, data analysis and data interpretation. At the end of this program, students will share their research findings on one of the following topics through a writing sample, which students will be able to use for future endeavors such as applying to college or internships: the gender pay gap, neighborhoods and home values, and global carbon emissions. A Cleveland Fed research analyst will guide each group as a program instructor for the week. Camp organizers will place students in separate, virtual breakout rooms throughout the week based on the topic they have selected.

The registration deadline is Friday, July 1. To register, visit the Cleveland Fed’s website.
