Guidance on science of reading professional development requirements available

A guidance document for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s science of reading professional development requirements under House Bill 33 is available on the Department’s website.

ReadOhio Office Hours

This month, the Department began hosting open office hours about the ReadOhio requirements each Friday 3-4 p.m.
Sessions will continue each Friday through April 26. Join each meeting via Microsoft Teams.
 
The Department’s literacy policy team will take questions on topics including science of reading professional development, high-quality instructional materials, English language arts core curriculum requirements, reading intervention requirements, and high-dosage tutoring.
