School Safety Month Week Four: Know Your Role

October is Ohio School Safety Month. The theme of this month is Know School Safety, Know Your Role – It's Everyone’s Responsibility.

Know Your Role Week, Oct. 23-29, highlights information such as Know!, an educational program created by Prevention Action Alliance. Know! empowers parents and teachers to promote health and wellness and protect the young people from unhealthy behaviors. To “Know Your Role,” review the Prevention Action Alliance’s Know! Parent Tips for parents and educators and Know! Teachable Moments for educators, School Violence Prevention: Tips for Parents and Educators and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA's) Talk. They Hear You. Oct. 23-31 is Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign focused on nurturing children to live healthy and drug-free lives.
