Workshop focuses on service learning

Magnified Giving, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit with the mission to engage youth in philanthropy, is bringing a national service-learning expert to Cincinnati to present a six-hour workshop for teachers July 26 in the Cincinnati area. Due to the sponsorship of the Mayerson Foundation, the workshop will be available at no cost to all Ohio teachers. Lunch will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units through this experience. 

The workshop facilitator, Julie Rogers Bascom, is the director of Learning and Leadership at the National Youth Leadership Council. She will present “Service-Learning: A Process, Not Just a Project.” This workshop is designed to meet the needs of all levels of experience with service-learning, whether teachers are reigniting their practices, just getting started or experienced but looking to expand their knowledge.
