Celebrating excellence in Ohio K-12 education

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is thrilled to recognize the exceptional achievements of Ohio’s districts and buildings in the 2022-2023 academic year. These dedicated educators, administrators, and students have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of learning and achievement.

The 2022-2023 Ohio School Report Card awardees included:

• Overall 5-star districts and buildings:
  • 75 districts and 362 buildings achieved an overall rating of 5 stars.
• Career Technical Planning District Overall 5-Star:
  • 33 districts met the overall 5-star criteria. 
• Drop Out Prevention and Recovery Exceeds Standards:
  • 34 Drop Out Prevention and Recovery schools earned an ‘exceeds standards.’
• Momentum Award Districts and Buildings:
  • 42 districts and 310 buildings met the Momentum Award criteria. The Momentum Award recognizes districts and schools that have improved their Performance Index by 3 or more points from the 2021-2022 report cards to the 2022-2023 report cards AND received a Progress rating of 4 or more stars.
