BroadbandOhio is developing plans to access significant federal funding that would bring broadband to all households and communities across the state. It invites educators to participate in a brief survey that will allow it to better understand the broadband needs of local communities.

Learn about today's threats against schools and students

The Ohio School Safety Center is partnering with federal, state and local agencies to provide intelligence and resources to Ohio's schools and first responders about threats against schools and students. During an in-person event May 9 in Columbus, learn about different types of threats, as well as resources for identifying and preventing acts of violence.

Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid and Student Wellness and Success Funds data collection opens June 1

During the 2022-2023 school year, many schools had three separate funding streams available for student wellness activities: (1) Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid; (2) Base Cost Student Wellness and Success Funds; and (3) remaining Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021 Student Wellness and Success Funds. Schools and districts can use the Student Wellness Funding Comparison Guide to understand the details of each funding stream. Schools and districts must complete a report detailing the planning, use of funds and expenditures from the 2022-2023 school year for the three funding streams listed above. The Data Collection Tool will be open June 1 through Aug. 1.
