School Bus Driver Safety Road-e-o
School bus drivers throughout Ohio may participate in regional road-e-o competitions in the spring. The road-e-o is designed to test and increase their operational and safety skills. Top participants at each regional road-e-o move on to compete at the state-level competition.
Participants who score 80 percent or more of the total possible points at a regional or state competition may substitute this event toward their six-year recertification. Drivers must complete the road-e-o within twenty-four months of their current certificate expiring, in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code 3301-83-10(F6).
The regional road-e-o is scheduled for the third Saturday in April. The top six drivers at each regional qualify to compete at the state road-e-o, which is held on the first Saturday in May.
