School Bus Driver Safety Road-e-o

New This Fall 2025

School bus drivers throughout Ohio may participate in regional school bus safety road-e-o competitions in October. The school bus safety road-e-o is designed to test and increase their operational and driving skills, while adding a fun competitive spin in the name of safety.

Participants who score 80 percent or more of the total possible points at a regional or state competition may substitute this event toward their six-year recertification. Drivers must complete the school bus safety road-e-o within twenty-four months of their current certificate expiring, in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3301-83-10(F6).
