Regardless of a student’s intentions following graduation, it remains important for them to complete the FAFSA. The Department wants to make sure schools and families have as much information as possible about any delays.
The State of Ohio is in the process of communicating with all Ohio colleges and universities, requesting that they consider extending application and acceptance deadlines to provide students the opportunity to make informed choices for their entry into higher education. This month, the Department released the second phase of the 2023-2024 Special Education Profile, which includes disproportionate representation and significant disproportionality in special education identification, placement, and discipline. In addition, Department team members will answer questions during upcoming virtual office hours on March 14.

The State Board of Education is accepting nominations for teachers in a school district to serve on the Ohio Educator Standards Board for the term of June 2024 through June 2026. The nomination form must be completed by March 1.
