Guidance on science of reading professional development requirements available

A guidance document is available to support districts with understanding the requirements for the science of reading professional development.

The Department is hosting virtual weekly open office hours through April 26 for ReadOhio requirements and other literacy topics such as science of reading professional development, high-quality instructional materials, and high-dosage tutoring.

Importance of literacy at center of upcoming documentary screenings

“The Right to Read” is a documentary addressing the importance of literacy as a civil right. Register to attend an event featuring literacy advocates discussing the importance of reading to lifelong success and the effort to strengthen literacy achievement for all Ohio students.
