FY27 Federal Programs Training Series

The Office of Federal Programs (OFP) is pleased to announce the FY27 Federal Programs training series. Each session will focus on a topic relevant to federal programs coordinators and staff and will allow participants to receive direct support regarding the topic. The sessions will be hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Meeting links can be found within the dates listed below. All slides will be available to attendees following the session.  

Upcoming topics include: 

• August 27, 2026 (9 a.m. -11 a.m.) - New Coordinator’s ESEA Overview 

• September 10, 2026 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.) – Spending the Funds and Closing Fiscal Years – Fiscal Documents etc. for ESEA Grants 

• October 8, 2026 (9 a.m. – 10 a.m.) – Nonpublic Updates and Verification of Data 

• November 12, 2026 (9 a.m. – 10 a.m.) –Consolidated ESEA Grants Compliance Monitoring 

• January 14, 2027 (9 a.m. – 10 a.m.) – One Needs Assessment and One Plan for Consolidated ESEA Grants   

• February 11, 2027 (9 a.m. – 10 a.m.) – Nonpublic Participation for Consolidated ESEA Grants 

• May 13, 2027 (9 a.m. – 10 a.m.) – Completing the Funding Application for Consolidated ESEA Grants 

The Office of Federal Programs will also be hosting quarterly open office hours for local educational agency (LEA) staff. Team OFP members will share important updates and program reminders.  and aAttendees are invited to ask OFP staff questions, share concerns, or listen into the discussion. Office hours will be held on Microsoft Teams and registration is not required. Attendees can join the meetings using the links below:

Nonpublic Equitable Services Ombudsman Open Office Hours

Nonpublic equitable services open office hours will occur the first Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m-11a.m. from September through May.  Chantelle Carter, nonpublic ombudsman, will be available to answer questions and work through concerns or issues during this time.  The sessions are open to public and nonpublic school officials. Attendees can join the meetings using the links below.

The regional trainings occur each year in the late spring. The schedule and locations will be announced via CCIP Note in the months preceding the trainings.
