Ambassadors

Ohio Materials Matter banner

The Ohio Department of Education, in partnership with EdReports, is providing professional learning to increase educators’ capacity to collaborate in the process of selecting and implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) so that students will acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful through a standards-aligned instructional foundation. An ambassador group, comprised of teachers, instructional coaches and school leaders, will work to strengthen the Ohio Materials Matter initiative.

As part of Future Forward Ohio, the state's strategic priorities to help students recover from the impact of the pandemic, Ohio Materials Matter Ambassadorship is an opportunity for Ohio educators of all backgrounds, grade levels and content areas to:

  •  Increase awareness of why high-quality instructional materials matter for Ohio students and educators.
  •  Inform educators on smart adoption practices that are intentional.
  •  Celebrate and share how strong materials help teachers to inspire students to learn and grow.
