Industry-Recognized Credentials that can be Obtained from Multiple Vendors

UPDATE:
As of July 21, the Industry-Recognized Credential Review Committee has approved new industry-recognized credential graduation requirements for the class of 2030 and beyond. Starting with the high school class of 2030, each student using industry-recognized credentials as a path to graduation fulfills the requirement when they earn either a single approved standalone credential or an approved bundle of credentials.

The Department will be opening an application for new credentials and new credential bundles on August 1, 2026. This application will be open through October 31, 2026.

Certain industry-recognized credentials on the Ohio Department of Education’s list of approved credentials are available from multiple vendors. For these credentials, you may select any reputable vendor for the credential. If you have concerns or questions about whether your chosen vendor is eligible to deliver or administer a specific credential, please reach out to the Industry Credential Review Team via email at industrycredentials@education.ohio.gov.   • Leadership Excellence - Student (All Career Fields)
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate (All Career Fields)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate (All Career Fields)
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate (All Career Fields)
  • Forklift Operation (Agriculture and Environmental Systems, Construction, Manufacturing)
  • Manlift Operation (Agriculture and Environmental Systems, Arts and Communication, Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation)
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Training (All Career Fields)
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Training (All Career Fields)
  • CPR First Aid (All Career Fields)
  • OC/Pepper Spray (Law and Public Safety)
