Approved List of Evidence-Based Reading Intervention Programs

Under ORC 3313.6028(B), the Department is responsible for establishing a list evidence-based reading intervention programs that are aligned with the science of reading and strategies for effective literacy instruction.

The Department’s list of approved reading intervention programs is provided below and includes programs that met the required criteria for prekindergarten through grade 12. Full vendor and program information, including contact information and program details provided by the respective vendor, are linked below.

While all vendors on the approved list meet the standards for evidence-based reading intervention programs, districts and schools should carefully review materials to determine which materials best meet the needs of their students and educators.

As of July 2024, per vendor/applicant submitted information, all approved core curriculum and instructional materials for prekindergarten - grade 5 and evidence-based reading intervention programs prekindergarten - grade 12 have self-reported having Professional Development Materials available.  

Approved List of Reading Intervention Programs

Programs listed below are approved as evidence-based reading intervention programs. Information regarding target audience or grades of instructional programming as well as reading components claimed by the program vendor will be available in the vendor and program information form for each approved program.​
